Quote of the Day [1.29.13]

Les sanglots longs
Des violons
De l'automne
Blessent mon coeur
D'une langueur
Monotone.

Tout suffocant
Et blême, quand
Sonne l'heure,
Je me souviens
Des jours anciens
Et je pleure

Et je m'en vais
Au vent mauvais
Qui m'emporte
Deçà, delà,
Pareil à la
Feuille morte.

Paul Verlaine, "Chanson d'automne"

  1. bringing back memories of French studies at UM. I had to memorize "Le Ciel est par dessus le toit" by Verlaine for my intermediate class.

Hey by the way, Bonne Mardi Gras, Laissez le bon-temps roulez! We're headed home to the old city for the festivities. See you for the start of Lent – fish all day long till Easter.

  2. ps I'm legally a parent now!! I'll have to introduce you to Timzen.

  3. Man, I thought Mardi Gras was this past Tuesday. Little do I know.

And congratulations. Sounds like it's gonna be fun.
