Doggie Daycare Day 2

My brother’s on vacation taking my niece and his family to play some golf in the Florida sun. On these occasions when he’s out having fun, he asks me to take care of his dog. I can’t complain. I love that dog. At least it is not the guinea pigs.

Today was a better day to see him than yesterday, Day 1. Yeah. There isn’t a Day 1 post because I only thought about this idea today. I had left her alone at home, and I felt sad about it.

So yesterday, I showed up around lunch time and it looked like she had been crying. Sleep covered her eyes and she took some time getting up out of her bed. She was not enjoying being alone for the day. I tried to take her outside, but she’s stubborn with me and doesn’t do her business at all. She ate some though which is more than she has done before.

On to today and why I am writing about it. She ate some food! Like all the kibble in the bowl. Then she also did her business. This is the first time since I had to take care of her that she did. I gave her a well deserved, “Good girl!” Then I left her alone. We’ll see about tomorrow.

St. Valentine’s Day comes around and I don’t really care. But watching idols doing idol things, you realize that on this day, idols do the idol thing that will have you all go “kyun!”

I’ve bee sort of listening to this song off an on since it’s release. Not sure if I like or not. But I approve it to be played on St. Valentine’s Day.

Nogizaka46 going for the Showa vibes with a tinge of City Pop. I kind of like it. I wish they would do it some more. It isn’t the first time. It will not be the last. Maybe sometime then they’ll try it in their late night show, Nogizaka Star Tanjou.

Shinuchi Mai, as I have already said, is leaving the group in the next few weeks. The song was on Nogizaka’s last album. They released this video so that we will remember her. Last week was her birthday along with Ikuta Erika. She turned 30 which is a very rare age for an idol.

I can listen to this all day…

What Happened to the Movie Reviews?

I haven’t blogged this year. I don’t know when I will. What used to sustain this blog when I had nothing to write about was my commitment to writing a “review” for any movie I watched in the movie theater. I haven’t been in a movie theater since last year, and I am still afraid to go to one. Therefore, the movie reviews have dried up.

It was fun to go the theaters and watch a movie. Though the films may be good or bad, it was always enjoyable. The darkness. The popcorn. Two hours to be entertained. Or not. I liked watching movies, but nowadays not so.

You would think that since I am trapped in home because of the Corona Virus that I would watch movies from home. You would think, but I don’t. I am really bored with it all. Streaming television. Streaming services. Streaming. It’s just makes me bored, and when I’m bored I am lazy.

Maybe one day we’ll be past this Corona Virus pandemic and I’ll be able to go back to watching movies in the theater. I wonder if I will still be writing this blog.

I don’t have anything else to write about beyond that. For today.

I’m not partying this year cause I just got the Omicron. So while the family is having fun, I’m biding my time in quarantine.

Anyway, have a wonderful and merry Christmas. May the cheer and feelings of this season last for the next 365 days until next time.

Trail Mixing

I thought that maybe I should make my own snacks.

Actually, it came from thinking that I should be eating more oatmeal in the morning. Plain oatmeal isn’t the most delicious, so I thought some toppings and mix-ins would make it better. I thought that I would look forward to it more. So, I went to my local Trader Joe’s and bought a whole bunch of nuts and dried fruit — several bags. Pecans, walnuts, almonds, dried blueberries, dried ginger, dried bananas — that sort of mix.

Yet, in the end, I did not eat any more oatmeal.

So I decide to turn it into trail mix. Again, there’s a lot of that to make it. Like I have at least 3 pounds worth of mixture which is a lot.
