I should’ve posted this soon after I saw it, but better late than never. I’m going to try and get one more post for the month in. I’ll let my review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 be the last one.
Not bad for the closing of the trilogy. Seemed a fitting way to end. A new team!
I guess that’s really all I have to say. It seems I forgot a lot. Go watch it. It’s not that bad.

Even Mac gurus have this problem.
I had signed up for an iTunes music account a long time ago maybe perhaps even when it was announced. Then I signed up for a Mobile Me account before it became iCloud. Then I most likely have a Japanese iTunes account. And I think I have a work one, too. I just have too many Apple ID accounts.
And there is no way to resolve them being one. No way.
Today’s link finds Daring Fireball himself stuck trying to navigate the multiple Apple ID accounts. He’s getting ads for services he’s already bought and it’s because of the multiple IDs that has confused him.
I, too, am confused by it all.

Recently, I’ve been buying Star Wars collectible cards. I don’t know why I just like them. Actually, it is just the one, the T206 style released last year, that I have bought. T206, if you don’t know, is the tobacco card style from early last century. Supposedly, there’s 200 in the set and there are many variants. I’m trying to get the set without worrying about the variants. Maybe later?
Anyhow, for the May Force Be with You, here’s a link to Topps’ Star Wars category for cards. I wonder if I did through my old collection if they are worth anything. Especially, since they’re mostly in good condition.

Air
Air is a big Nike commercial. A peon to the sports apparel company that was dominant for quite a long time.
One of the weird things about this movie is how it wants to evoke the 80s. Is it enough to remind us of the 80s by just throwing things of the time into the movie? There was a scene that had a skateboarder doing kickflips. I’m not sure that at that time the kickflip was as common then as it is today. Certainly not done with the flick seen in the movie. But there were other things too thrown in to remind us of the 80s. It certainly had me thinking about when a particular thing on the screen showed up if it was correct for that time.
I had a pair or two of Air Jordans and I skated in them totally ruining them with an ollie hole. I had the original white and a pair of red and black. It’s amazing that they are still around. It is an iconic shoe. The movie? Not so much.

Kubo Shiori and Yamashita Mizuki. Yamashita Mizuki and Kubo Shiori. One and one and two and two. They are 3rd Generation aces for Nogizaka46, and they’ll forever be linked together in fans’ minds.
In the summer of 2016, Nogizaka46 held auditions for a new, third generation of members. The finale of the audition process was participation on the online streaming site, SHOWROOM, where the candidates spent about an hour just chatting and interacting with live stream viewers. At the time, both were anonymous to fans, but they spotted something in them making both highly popular. They were at the time second and third. Yamashita edging out Kubo.
After they passed, they would find themselves in competition again. This time in Nogizaka’s 3 Principals stage show. Principal is a play upon which the audience gets to choose which members participate in the play. Another audition. Kubo came out with the slight edge voted to participating in the play just one more vote than Yamashita.
They were always squaring against each other. It may have been the basis of Kubo taking a hiatus in 2018 because of this competition. Was it a challenge?
Maybe, but they were quite a combo. They named their pairing, “KuboShita,” and fans love them. Nothing but admiration amongst the pair. Even though Yamashita had earned the Ace moniker, Kubo was close behind. Kubo is the more beloved amongst the members themselves. Either way they are at the forefront of Nogizaka.
Anyhow, the single has been out for a couple of weeks. Please give it a listen. I love this song. I love this pair. I just love Nogizaka46.
