Link of the Day [8.01.08]

I saw this a few days back, but posting it now because its hilarious.

I caught both Bamboo Blade and Kimikiss Pure Rouge on Veoh by watching a fansub. A fansub is an amateur translation. They makes it easy to watch the latest anime from Japan. It also makes it easy to watch what may not make it to the States. Kimikiss just doesn’t seem to be for the American market which just wants Naruto, Bleach, or more DragonBall. The fansubbers try their best, but at times they just get things so wrong. It happens because they want to get it out quick. These are some classic unintentional (maybe) mistakes.

Bamboo Blade has one of the most frightening characters I’ve seen in an anime. She is 宮崎 都, Miyazaki Miyako, and she’s a yanderekko. It’s a anime character trait characterized as loving, but with a dark, black side.

Boy, does Miya-Miya have a dark side! She’s supposedly the pink of the group, but everyone knows she’s also the black. She’s happiest with her acorn-head boyfriend, and also happiest hitting someone. She’s cute and scary. Don’t cross her. Watch out. She’ll crush your nuts!

Finish him

What’s next on the anime list?

I just finished up Bamboo Blade. I think I have a new favorite. So fun. Not overtly showing fanservice. Tama-chan is the bomb.

And Miya Miya. Yanderekko to the max.

Miya Miya.

Since I’m done with Kimikiss Pure Rouge, the next anime I’m watching is Bamboo Blade. It’s the story of five girls gathered together to win a kendo tournament and do it for justice. Or something like that.

I’ve read the manga up to a point and I’m eagerly awaiting for the serialization in the states in the new Yen+ magazine. But the anime is so much better so far because of the personality it imparts onto Tama-chan.

She’s the Kyūzō character, stone face but awesome at kendo. That’s why I’m posting episode 2 instead of the first episode. It shows her at her best. Kawaii! And an expert!
