I bet we won’t have to worry about checking this site too often because the answer may be no.
That’s the “half empty” me talking, but every spring hope does spring eternal.

Can the Orioles show as much spunk against those damn Yankees?
Fight, Orioles! Fight! Fight like Elaine Benes!
Ignore the fact that they have no proven starting pitching. Ignore that their bullpen will be called into action more often than not. Ignore that their fielding is terrible. Ignore that hole in their lineup at the fourth spot. Ignore all the other weak hitting spots in that lineup. Ignore the front office that doesn't know what direction to take the organization in. Ignore the owner who is long past his welcome. Ignore the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, and Toronto Blue Jays; teams and organizations that put to shame the one on Eutaw Street. Ignore the shambolic state of the Orioles. We still play in the prettiest ballpark in the US.I've got my season tickets, but with the offseason moves and changes I'm not sure what to look forward. I've got opening day tickets, but may get rid of them to make some money back. Or sell off the Boston or Yankee series tickets to make some money back. I will still watch games in the best ballpark in the US.http://www.camdenyards20.com/
I'm definitely getting a new Orioles cap. I make it a ritual almost every spring before the season starts to buy a new cap. I've lost a few out the window, and I changed the size that I wear from 7 1/2 to 7 5/8. I really wear a 60cm hat, but that is in between the two English measurements. The 7 1/2 size is tight and gets tighter as the years go by. The 7 5/8 size makes me look like Robert Andino. The Legend of Bobby Andy lives! So next year I'll be sporting the cartoon bird. Again. I've got a replica of the 83 Orioles cap which people say I wear just because it was the last Orioles World Series winner. I'll always cheer for these fools knowing how frustrating an organization it is. Baseball is baseball and it beats sitting around the house.I also checked out the season ticket prices. They haven't changed, but the seating arrangement has. They moved the price range for my section inward. It's now cheaper to get closer to the dugout. The couple of sections to my left now have the same season ticket price as my section. I bought my tickets in this section because it was as close to the field as I could get without getting gouged. Now they've changed the price for the other sections. Perhaps I should switch up and see if the tickets behind the ball girls are open. The team must need fans.

Quote of the Day [9.29.11]
“End of season like this. [To] make Boston go home sad, crying, I’ll take it all day.”
Robert Andino, Baltimore Oriole, #theLegendOfBobbyAndy
Moneyball! makes even old people care about baseball. At the showing, the old people liked the game. They seemed to cheer for a game that was played years ago. And that’s the magic of Moneyball!, it made baseball slightly relevant again.
Of course, I was going to watch Moneyball! because I’m a baseball jones. As the Orioles wind down another losing season, we can only hope that the new O’s GM can find some magic and breathe life into a moribund organization. I said it once I have to say it again, “There’s rock bottom, then fifty feet of crap, and then there’s [the A’s].” They’re being held up by the Orioles.
Hopefully, this movie will make our ownership decide to try and find a system to get out of this losing. Or inspire baseball players to go all OBP on us. The Orioles need the players to stop giving up outs. Earl Weaver, we need your guidance!
Anyhow, Jonah Hill plays it straight. Brad Pitt does a Brad Pitt move. It’s great that the A’s have won something. Now when will the O’s.

If the baseball season ended today, the Orioles will have won 67 games which is one more than they did last year. Yet, they still have 3 games left. If they run a 3 game winning streak, they'll get to 70 games for the first time in years. They are playing the hated Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox may be on their way to the post season. They have a one game lead on the Tampa Bay Rays for the wild card spot. The Rays are relying on the Orioles to get them into the post season. Good luck on that. Your humble author has followed this Orioles team all season and they are only good at one thing: crushing your hopes. I can't believe that they'll win a game against Boston, and I can't believe they'll spoil the Red Sox's fun. But if they do…
UPDATE: Orioles down 2-1 in 6th. They keep disappointing all year. What makes you think they’ll be any different today?
UPDATE 2:Top of the 7th Orioles clinging to a 6-2 lead. #theLegendOfBobbyAndy hitting a 3 run inside the park homer. Perhaps I should’ve went to the game tonight.
Can the Orioles play the spoilers?
In the last week, the Orioles have shown that they are not gonna roll over. Their season may be over, but they’ve played the Yankees strong, halted the Rays’ momentum, and have put some hurt into the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim’s playoff chances. They’ve got some good pitching and have knocked the hell out of the ball.
I’m really hoping that they turn it on against the hated Red Sox. I dream that they’re the ones responsible for the Sox getting bounced out of the playoffs.
