Covid-19 Days – 78
You know I think the world is opening up again. I see signs of more activity happening. Beer gardens. Restaurants. Things moving. Are we getting back to normal? Only time will tell.
Living through the rona season
You know I think the world is opening up again. I see signs of more activity happening. Beer gardens. Restaurants. Things moving. Are we getting back to normal? Only time will tell.
I like the idols that I follow. I like to cheer them on. I know that they take comfort in the support from their fans. It makes them happy.
Yet it’s also great that they like to cheer us on. How? By being cute, talented, and hard-working. They do what they do, because it makes their fans happy.
Early this week, Nogizaka46 released a music video to give us hope that we’ll soon get out of this rona season of madness. Its title in romaji is “Sekaijuu no Rinjin yo” and in English is “Neighbors Around the World.” They hope that this song reaches you and makes your day a little bit brighter. They hope it brings a smile to your face. They want you to be happy even amongst this madness.
Know that they sing for everyone around the world.
I love the idols that I follow.
Turns out don’t store your wine above the stove. That’s what I did because I don’t really drink wine and above the stove put it way out of my way. But if one day, you make some spaghetti, and you want to drink some wine with it, you’ll find out that it went bad because you didn’t store it in a way to ensure that it will be good to drink someday. I made some terrible tasting vinegar. The spaghetti was okay.
Done for the week. I don’t think I did much. It moves slowly. It moves fast. Doesn’t matter. We’re not going to get very far.
The other day the US passed 100,000 deaths from the corona virus. We treat it like it ain’t no big thing. Like we think it’s not too small a price to pay if we can just get things back to normal. I say it’s a shame. I don’t think it should’ve happened. We don’t care so we’re gonna let it happen again this fall. We are bunch of sad sacks.
Also, I haven’t yet done my taxes. When are they due?
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. What have we here? Almost missed a day! But I just hopped out of bed to check on this blog and knew I was missing the post. Must not forget.
I think the door frame to my bedroom is not square. The door sticks to it constantly. I’m wanting to shoot someone because of it.
They are rioting in the Minneapolis. FUCK THE PO-PO.
I still hate my job.
I really didn’t feel like working today. So I barely did. Just moseyed around the source and checked a few things. Then I did some actual work in the afternoon! Not my fault. I wanted to go back to the couch after the daily standup, but there was a need for some help which I reluctantly provided. So I made my hours, but didn’t log them yet.
Traditionally, the start of summer happens today on Memorial Day. I don’t even know where spring went. Or even winter. 2020 is just one of those horrible years.
Anyhow, this day is supposed to support those who died for our freedom. I think we’ll count the dead from the rona amongst them.
Memorial Day picnic the day before. Ate lots. Drank lots. It was colder and I really wanted to go swimming in the pool. Likely, that’s the best it would be. But the food was nice. I made an apple crisp for desert.
Two hundred and seven songs ranked. Did this sometime this week. I believe the top five is correct and everything else was by the whims I had as I did the sort. Except, that Zambi theme song. That song is butt.
I’m about to start collecting my social security since we’ve been at this for seventy days and it feels like seventy years.
This time it wasn’t an off Friday, but I played it like it was. I had a few meetings which I attended, but between them I went grocery shopping (I’m making ribs!). I had one more around 1:00, but it was moved to next week. So guess what? The holiday weekend started early!
I was also out on the road today circling on the beltway. It seemed like there were a lot more people on the road. The state’s been slowly re-opening. People are starting to move out and about. It’s almost like a normal day. The holiday traveling really has begun.
Are things going to be alright? We will get to a better form of normal soon?
