Covid-19 Days – 59

What was Donald Trump raving about yesterday? Obamagate? What does that even mean? It’s all types of depressing that Donald Trump is the president. It makes me angry at those who made that happen.

I have aunts and uncles who did. Not too sure why. Anyone with any type of intelligence could see that he was temperamentally not fit to lead anything. Not sure why you would ignore that. These relatives are smart — they’ve been through college. Just never understand how you would want to associate yourself with such an ass.

It colors my relationship with them. Not too sure how to bring up this disaster. It really is. I could handle a normal republican but this is not normal. If it is really true that the rona is rampaging through the halls of the West Wing, if there is a god, she would call him home to her. There is no god.

Hippy punching is all they have. We’ve taken it. That’s all they have.

Covid-19 Days – 58

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers. Hope it finds you all safe and secure and happy in the knowledge that we all love you.

Covid-19 Days – 57

There are signs on the highway signal boards that read, “Save Lives. Essential Travel Only.” What am I doing out here then? I am out here killing people!

It was my mom’s idea to go visit my brother. We went for lunch and just a visit to see if he’s doing well. He is doing well.

It was a bit cold today which is a great feeling on the walk. A brisk breeze. Yesterday we had a hail storm. I heard it hitting the house and it sounds different. I looked outside and there was hail stuffing up the gutter. Just a weird set of weather so far during these troubling times.

Covid-19 Days – 56

This is counting days is giving me the Iran Hostage Crisis feelings of my youth. That one went 444 days. Doesn’t it feel like we’re going to break it?

I’m trying to clean up around the house. Needing to throw things out. Does anyone know if the dump is still open?

Yesterday, I tried my hand at fried riced cauliflower. Today was a different experiment. Still with riced cauliflower, but this time I went with turmeric and paprika. It was alright, but I should’ve put some chicken in as well.

We find out today that some of Donald Trump’s entourage has caught the rona. Is it too hopeful to wish it strikes that dude down? There is no god if that doesn’t happen.

Whelp. Need to straighten up what I messed up in the home office…

Covid-19 Days – 55

Checking in before bed. So normal now that it’s no longer fun. Well, at least I went for a walk in the nice sunshine. And I cooked up a fried cauliflower rice dish. Something old and something new.

Covid-19 Days – 54

Aww dang. We’re coming up to two months — seven weeks so far. No end in sight.

The economy is cratering and I can’t but wonder why. If this world was all about spending nothing is right. We need to change that.

I don’t know. It’s just messed up.

Covid-19 Days – 53

I saw someone mention day 53 lockdown and I knew that I was also at that number. You got two yesterday. You get this one today, and it may be as lame as the previous one. YMMV.

Let’s see… the US is still leading the way in rona cases as well as in deaths. Other nations (Italy, Spain) that were hit hard seem to have controlled it better. Not here in the US. We are the greatest at dying from the rona. It seems that is what Donald Trump and the Republicans want. I’m sure not many others share their views. Sadly, they are in control of this country at least for the next few months. Perhaps, by next year they will either be in retirement or dead. Either way suits me.

Nothing more to report. It’s the same shit different day.

Covid-19 Days – 52

Count yourselves lucky. You get two posts today! Huzzah!

Not that I did anything today. Just another day working from home. I am thinking about upgrading to a standup desk. Maybe. We’ll see.

Covid-19 Days – 51: A Day Late and a Dollar Short

Oops. I missed a day. Am I starting to slack?

I realized this when I woke up this morning. I went to bed early last night and completely forgot. I was fast asleep by 10 PM. I wanted to get as much sleep as possible. I think I slept for at least 8 hours!

So, this post should be the first of two today. What I did yesterday? Cooked some arrozcaldo and contemplated the beautiful weather. What will I do today? You’ll have to wait at least 12 hours to find out… more next time!

Covid-19 Days – 50!

I went out and enjoyed this beautiful day. Bought some sushi and took it over to my mom’s as she wished. I think I bought too much, but it was still good. And it was a good day, too. Very much the perfect spring day.

It’s going be tougher to keep the masses indoors with spring showing up. We need the sun. We need the fresh air. We just need to move around.

I think we understand the danger. Life keeps moving forward. I think we all want to as well. It’s complicated.
