Living through the rona season
Not much to report today. I really wanted to curl back up in bed, but I had to get up and out to pick up my prescription at the drug store. Unfortunately, they were late on the second one and they will have it ready at another time…
Look! It’s ready already. Great. I’m home and don’t want to go out. Seems like I have something for tomorrow.
Now we’re onto the 48 Group day!
Not much to report today. It was raining all day. I guess I’m not gonna complete Apple Activity’s April Challenge: walk 107 miles. I’m short a couple. I bet I would’ve completed if it wasn’t raining. I could’ve gone for a couple walks today. As it is I spent it all day parked at the desk for work.
The weather has been rather cool for these days of being locked up. And it has rained a bunch — like every two days or so. I really don’t take note of it, because I don’t get out of the house much. Still when I do, I know that I’m usually under dressed for the weather. My walks get cold. I wonder how it will be next month?
I actually went to the grocery store today. Stocked up.
Before this I would go every week to buy provisions for the next 7 to 10 days. It would usually be one big thing to cook, a few smaller items, and snacks. I would spend around $40.00. Also, sometimes I would go mid-week and get a few things like soda or ice tea. All in all, my weekly grocery tab would be about $60.00.
Since, I have only been going every two weeks, I’ve been spending like a family. About $100.00. I get too much then I have to cram it onto my meal plan. Usually, the fresh vegetables are wilted. I don’t know how to plan for that much food.
Well, at least I have some greens.
Well we’ve gotten to the sakamichi series number of days, 46! So in honor let’s go with the cutest front three. Watch this bootleg. It’s been up for ages, and hopefully, it will be still for a few more years… or at least until it falls off the page.
Hair is definitely long at least the small amount that I have on my head. Also true for what’s on my chin and upper lip. There’s no barber open for a haircut. I don’t want to do it myself, and I am lazy when it comes to trimming the beard. Even more so now that I don’t have to be face to face with my colleagues for work.
The long facial hair is annoying. Sauces get stuck in it. It gets in the way as you eat. I’ll trim it up tomorrow, but I ain’t making any promises.
I’m so bored I feel like watching all the Endless Eight episodes.
Except I didn’t, but I did watch the first season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya — in broadcast order. I binged watch the first season yesterday! I was feeling in the mood. Strange, too. It seems like some of the cast felt the same way. See the Aya Hirano tweet of “Hare! Hare! Yukai!” — the ending dance which was a big hit a decade ago. Seems like they too are going crazy and perhaps thinking about Endless Eight.
Haruhi is one of my favorite anime. It was the one that truly got me back into anime. I bought the DVDs as they were released back in 2007 not knowing what I would be getting into. I’m not sure how I heard about it, but once I watched the first disc, I was hooked.
Those discs were in the chronological order. The broadcast order is something else. I’ve always wanted to see it that way. Personally, it is much better. The ending in the broadcast order is so much more powerful and great. I cried at the end.
Yesterday, I wasn’t bored much. If you feeling bored, ask for Haruhi.
Don’t inject yourself or drink bleach to fight off the rona. I figure that I don’t have to tell you, but Donald Trump has been talking up just that. Don’t even wash yourself in it. That is what soap is for, which is more effective and not as harmful.
Just don’t listen to Donald Trump, which is why the media should stop covering his daily “press conferences.” They are just a show that he wants to put on to be somewhat “presidential,” but they really just show the petty side of him. Something that apparent right from the start. It may have been why we didn’t take him seriously as a presidential candidate, but now that we are here we should dismiss him as the awful human being he is.
I’m running out of things to do, even of things to think about. I thought about this one very early when we started getting locked up. I’ve been returning to it most recently: making a sourdough starter. This link gives simple instructions, plus it also helps in getting some data to scientists.
So get on it and bake some sourdough bread.
It is with sadness I have to tell you that this is driving me nuts. Forty-one fucking days of writing these posts. I’m all out of ideas. Please, help me!

It’s Earth Day! Happy Earth Day Motherfucker! Perhaps this virus is Mother Nature finding a way to eradicate the most dangerous thing on this world to her: mankind?
Anyhow forty days was the time Jesus spent in the desert. We be like Jesus and living in our own desert. But be more like Jesus and be kind to your fellow humans. Except for Republicans. Fuck those guys.
