Covid-19 Days – 99

My sleep schedule is totally messed. I’ve been trying to catch Nogizaka’s 46 Hour TV since yesterday. I was up late last night, and caught a couple hours of sleep this afternoon. I’m here for the last day for this. I’m loving every minute!

For me, the first Nogizaka46 Hour TV pulled me totally into the Nogi fandom. It happened back in 2016 in place of their 4th Year Birthday Live in February of that year. It was the last big thing to see them as they were when I first became a fan. I think it was 36 members across only two generations. Nagashima, MaiMai, and Nanamin would be graduated by the end of the year. Third generation would be there by the fall. But just those 46 hours early in the year cemented my love for the group and for its members.

It looks like we have about another 5-6 hours left. Nogizaka will always make me smile.

Orioles Magic

With the loss last night in game 5 of the ALDS, the Orioles’ season has come to a close. What a wonderful ride it was. Right from the start when they were winning, we couldn’t believe it. Then as the summer doldrum seemed to have hit, we still couldn’t believe it — they rocketed back into contention. In August, in September, we believed. And we got here, but oh so short. Maybe next year. #stayhungry

This season was a fantastic season. It’s gonna go down as one of the best baseball memories. It follows Brooks Robinson Appreciation Day in 1977, the heartbreaking 1979 World Series, season tickets with my dad, the 1982 playoff chase, the ’83 World Series, the #podpeople Orioles of 2010, and #theLegendOfBobbyAndy. It will be a traumatic memory as the heartbreaking 1979 World Series, Manny’s 500th homerun, the normal Orioles of 2010, and the calvary collapse in 2011. Just some great baseball memories.

I just can’t wait for more. And let’s hope this is the beginning of good Baltimore baseball.

Let’s go O’s!

Pretty soon baseball will be back at the Yard. We’ll be there when it does. Front row. Center.

I think I am a fanatic for the Baltimore Orioles. You want to know how I know? These are the t-shirts of Orioles that I have and how I acquired them:Adam Jones 10 — bought last year
Matt Weiters 15 — bought this winter from www.mattweiterfacts.com
Koji Uehara 19 — bought last night
Ty Wiggington 23 — free t-shirt night
Buck Showalter 26 — free t-shirt night
Jason Berken 49 — free t-shirt nightI bought two caps this year, too. I usually buy a new cap each season. The second one bought this year is a cool replica vintage cap from the 50s and 60s.And I can't forget to mention, I did get all the mini bobble heads this year.I went to back-to-back games these past two nights once for the free t-shirt (Showalter) and last night to finish out my season ticket plan. That was 13 games, but I didn't go to all of them. I plan to finish out the season with Detroit using up the season tickets I didn't use. I'll have to check the count, but that was at least 16 games this year. They're still not a very good organization and next year is a new year, but I'm ecstatic about our Orioles. Sorry, to the three readers of the blog, for making this a baseball blog, but, well, you know….
