Stakes is High

We’re going into the most important week and the most important day of our nation. Stakes is high. I hope we don’t make the same mistake we did in 2016. I can only hope a majority of people in the few swing states choose for the better. Choose a future that is for everyone and not just one man. Choose a future that is works for the good of everyone. Choose a future of happiness and not of lameness. Stakes is high.

Link of the Day [1.25.24]

Analytics from my twitter feed say no one sees these when you post them so late in the day. So therefore, today’s comes up just about an hour earlier than yesterday’s. I guess maybe we’ll get an extra view?

Yeah!

But no one clicks through on their twitter feed. So no one’s gonna see this. But you’ll be missing out on something great.

A couple of weeks back, Nogizaka46’s TV show’s YouTube channel posted that they’re now going to include subtitles within a week of the showing. YES!

Yup, you too can now become as big a Nogizaka fan as me. The episodes go as far back as GomenFin back in 2021.

You’ve got a long way to catch up. What are you waiting for? Only click through!

Fitness Plus Plus

If you’ve been following me on your watch, then you’ll know that I have started working out again this year. Maybe. At least I am trying to be more active this year.

So to help, I signed up for the free month on Apple Fitness+. I guess it’s something to get me moving almost daily.

So far I’ve only stuck with the beginner workouts in the dance and kickboxing categories. I also have done some of the meditation and cooldown episodes, but those are really to slow down and chill out.

I wish there was a place to get better info on some of the workouts. I tried a few out of the beginner’s bracket and found them to be a bit too intense for now. I also wish it had a better save mechanism as you always have to scroll to find the workouts you’d save. At least that’s the behavior on AppleTV.

So come out and join me on my workouts.

Fujisan

Well the rumors were true. Fifth generation climbing Mt. Fuji.

I’ve always loved these episodes — part of the hit campaigns. The ones that they go climb Mt. Fuji are especially favorites. This episode has Nogizaka’s 5th Generation members doing the climb. Amazingly they all made it up to the summit — in fact they went further than any of the members going to the real summit and not just to the last lodge at the summit. It seems fairly easy, but I am sure there can be some more difficulty.

Here’s the reason, I love the group.

“In the future, it might help if you located the source of your rage before you unleashed it on the world.”

In honor of the rumor that Nogizaka46 5th Generation members were seen spotted climbing Mt. Fuji, here’s a solo climber showing what they’re up against. It doesn’t look quite as daunting considering all the amenities along the way, but still attitude sickness is no joke.

If the rumors are true, Nogizaka46 will have climbed Mt. Fuji three times. The first two were associated with their “pray for a hit” campaign for their singles. Although, for the 5th Generation, it is off schedule for the 30th single as they’ve wrapped up the campaign. Unless this effort is supplemental to the previous one.

If you want to look up their past climbs up Mt. Fuji — they’re great as they show you great effort and you’ll cheer for them, then seek out the hit campaigns for their 10th single and 24th single. You’ll know why I love them.

“You know, you and me are a lot alike. You’re a Hollywood tough guy, and I’m a New York radio tough guy.”

No idea why I am subscribed to this Norwegian sailor, but I find his adventures out in the seas around his home compelling. He hadn’t been producing any videos for a bit. Now I know why. He spent the summer venturing out in his sailboat around the Arctic. Nuts.

It’s his first video for this trip. He’s tooling around the Norwegian coast before heading out to open ocean. Every place he weighs anchor makes me envious. I wish I could visit those far flung islands he sailed to. Just plain gorgeous. I did not think that there were places out there like that. I mean the world is big and there are places you’ll never see. Thanks to this fellow we can.

The World Looks Skateable

An interesting video from Vox about legendary skate spots. I haven’t been on a board in 20 years and I feel like going to these. Seems like, though, that they’re all have been demolished. Nothing stays the same. Like my skating career. It’s history.

Out & About [Los Angeles, CA]

I’m loving these “out and about” videos because of the different views of places not only during this pandemic but just during normal times. I wish to be out there, too.
