Trap!

Is this a trap? Or can you fall in love with this guitar player? I’m going have to go with female according to her blog. Of course, this doesn’t stop her from being a he.

I am so confused.

But whatever. She rocks. He rocks. I mean that’s awesome.

Dear Kami-sama, can we get a third season of Haruhi?

Inside

I love playing Alice In Chains on guitar. Jerry Cantrell has really simple chord progressions that it’s not hard to play many of their songs. Even a complete guitar doofus like me can play Alice In Chains. I had my iPhone on yesterday at work and this song, Right Turn, came on. It blew me away. It was like I never heard it before. Did you know that the original cut on the EP had stalwarts of the grunge era singing on it. Besides Layne Staley and Cantrell, there was Chris Cornell and the lead singer of Mudhoney, Mark Arm. Pretty cool.

Remember when you held my hand?

Let’s move those kawaii pictures down the page.

Go.

Go.

Go.

And dance this mess around!

This dude and his jazzmaster makes me want to get that dang Jaguar. I’m absolutely torn between the white and the metallic burnt orange. I wanted white, but that orange just looks cool. Give me another two months.

I Can’t Stand The Rain

Funky soul party! Let’s get up and dance. One more week! Let’s dance! If you’re sitting still at your desk listening to this, check your pulse: you may be a zombie! And it’s no time for the living dead! Save that for Easter!

Close Your Eyes and Count to 10

YouTube surely does offer wonderful things. I dig the Adele original, but there are plenty of good covers on YouTube. I’m picking this one because of the cello.

Momma you got to move!

Not to make too light of the serious situation that is Post-Tropical Cyclone Sandy, but listening to this awesome cover of Led Zeppelin’s “When the Levee Breaks” by the girl group zepperalla rocks. Who knew that Robert Plant would sound decent as a girl? Of course his banshee screams sound like they do come from a girl.

The song’s also a good reminder to be careful out there. What may look to be calm could be dangerous with downed trees, downed wires, and high water. Be smart. Be safe.

“Well, make it fast. I’m in the middle of telling the guy why he’s so special to me. No, no, it’s work-related.”

For the first few times I watched this cover of my favorite K-ON!! song, I thought I was listening to Mio. Woah. Now I figured that it’s the girl playing the guitar who’s singing. I couldn’t figure it out because lots of these anime covers featuring a girl in a japanese school girl uniform end up being a guy in a japanese school girl uniform. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but damn, japanese guys with smooth lady-like legs is disturbing. Being slightly attracted to, even more disturbing.

Anyway. A for the cover. A++ for the exposed knee a lower thighs. A+++ for the singing; I thought it was Mio.
