Can’t say much. Just read. Drool. Go.
This is tasty
Can’t say much. Just read. Drool. Go.
I asked myself that question as I laid the Momofuku Cookbook down and hit the sack. Did I just read a cookbook like a regular book?
Indeed I did. It was that interesting. But I didn’t read it for the recipes. I read it for the story.
David Chang is pretty much as driven a chef as any other chefs are. That’s me being nice and not saying how much of an asshole chefs can be. They want perfection. They’ll get perfection any damn well way they want. That’s okay as long as they make great food.
From reading the book and glancing at the recipes, it seems like Chang does make great, tasty food.
Celebrated CapitolSwell’s birthday yesterday at Againn Gastro Pub in DC. I had the Lanashire Hot Pot which was some tasty lamb and had a side of some delicious red cabbage. But for desert I had their Banoffee Pie. It was the greatest desert I ever had. It came in a jar wasn’t really a pie but a conglomeration of the ingredients of the pie. Graham cracker crust. Dulce de lece. Bananas! Ganoche. Damn. Yum.
Zauny is the engine that is making things go for the Orioles. Everytime
he plays, WIN! As you can see, he's got the right cooking to make it
spicy. Diamond Dave, play Zauny more! He'll bring it! WIN!http://www.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/dining/bal-espn-cookoff0728,0,2003218.story
It’s spring. And my mind turns to girl watching. Here’s really cute asians in short skirts and stockings. Don’t click if you’re a girl. Click if you’re a guy. Legs, man, legs. Zettai Ryouiki. Makes me smile.

Heh.
This had to be a lotd awhile back. I just had to single out one that I thought was exemplary. Chris Bishop and his mighty Robot and Girls series. Pretty awesome.
Aren’t they all?
There’s one conveyor belt sushi in town. It’s not that good. Cheap, but since you got there to stuff your face it ends up being the same price as any other sushi joint in town. It’s also nothing but rolls. No maki sushi. No sashimi. Hardly any nagiri.
Now I feel like some sushi.

I got to get to work, but Ingrid Bergman and Cary Grant are doing their pas de deux on TCM right this moment. *sigh*Sent from my iPhone
** UPDATE **
It seems I already did this post a few years ago. I really dig Ingrid Bergman and this movie.
