He’s got to go

George W Bush. Worst. President. Ever. And we are a poorer nation for it.

George W Bush. Worst. President. Ever. And we are a poorer nation for it.
Once more and many more times until 2008, electing George W. Bush in 2000 was the worst. Mistake. Ever. As Herman Blume; so nicely said, “Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can’t buy backbone. Don’t let them forget it.”
So. I made it through the President’s speech without getting angry or upset. What struck me the most about it is that he is not the greatest of public speakers. Alright that has probably been said before. What also struck me is that he smirks a lot. Should the president of the greatest nation display how immature he is on national TV? Let me echo Brad DeLong in asking, “When will the grownup Republicans stand up and take control of their party?”
The Republican National Convention wraps up tonight with the President’s speech. I don’t know about you, but it is very hard to keep from vomiting when listening to this guy speak. Yet, I must in order to know what to formulate counter arguments against fools that believe him to be the best thing since slice bread.
Here are two links which sum up my opinion of the president perfectly. Josh Marshall and Matthew Yglesias take down the silly man in the white house better than I could ever have done. Marshall portrays the president as a man of low moral courage. He lets others do the dirty work for him. I agree. It fits the man who has hardly earned things on his own. Yglesias portrays the president as a man of low intelligence. He is not actively engaging his intellect when trying to define his policies. Marshall’s portrait of the president is a direct consequence of the lack of brains that the president has exhibited.
I am done my political rant for the week.
Read all about some dude protesting during President Bush’s campaigning in PA. Read about how our President acts like a child and gives the finger to them. It’s time for that dude to go.
This comic strip makes me laugh and cry at the same time. Sums up my feelings about the War on Terror.
I am not an NBA fan, but I seem to end up watching their playoffs every year. I am a sucker for the underdog. Of course, since it is the pretty boy Lakers in the finals it makes it easier to root for the Pistons. I believe that Gary Payton and Karl Malone should be denied the chance to ever be called champions. Come on Pistons!
