Link of the Day [5.08.16]

It took two weeks, but finally finished up the compilation anthology of Road & Kingdoms travel/food guide for Japan: Fish, Noodles, Rice — Deep Travels Through Japan’s Food Culture. Reading through it made me really want to go and travel Japan from tip to tip. From Fukuoka on the south island, Kyushu, to Hokkaido in the north, I want to travel and experience the food of Japan.

Maybe. Maybe. Maybe someday…

Macross. That word warms my little otaku heart. I remember like it was yesterday. It came as the Robotech in the United States. Yet, there was more to it once you become an anime otaku. It’s got mecha. It’s got space. It’s got idols. It’s got music. It’s got a love triangle. You couldn’t beat it. And every other iteration features the same. Why can’t we get it in the States in its pure unadulterated form?

Macross.

I remember love…

Forty-six is not enough. Forty-six is too much. Forty-six is going to be a marathon. Forty-six. Nogizaka46.

They are going to do a 46 hour web cast marathon for their fourth birthday special. You can watch it for free this weekend by following one of the streaming sites on today’s link. I suggest you bookmark it, and then watch it with me starting Friday evening.

I am so psyched.

I was lamenting earlier today because I was unable to catch Nogizaka46’s Xmas Live concert. Of course living in the US would make this hard, but their concert was being live streamed in Japan and there are ways to catch it. Luckily, I checked out my favorite bootleg AKB48 video sight and there it is. Now I am watching and I am happy for the day.
